Volunteer at Sine FM

Sine FM offers opportunities for people who want to volunteer in all kinds of roles.  From presenters, producers, roving reporters, and technical support, everybody is welcome to apply to be part of the team. We are also accepting work placements on a regular basis. Please note that our work placement programme requires a minimum 5 weeks commitment.

Presenting

Do you think you can give BBC presenters a run for their money? Presenting a radio show is not as difficult as it may seem. Sine FM presenters are all volunteers, and in most cases, with no previous experience. Our youngest presenter is 15 whilst we also have 'more life experienced' presenters is in their 60s...  We provide all the training and support you need to be able deliver that show you've always wanted to hear, so what are you waiting for?

Training

We deliver in house training for all presenters as well as people from the community who are just interested / passionate about radio & media. We are also always looking for people with great 'person skills' to assist our tutor team in delivering training, which offers perfect experience for aspiring tutors / teachers.

Researchers

The Sine FM team is constantly growing so we can deliver more features for the community. If you prefer working 'backstage' we always need researchers who can gather info about the local community, local / national / international news and even celebrity gossip, so this is the opportunity you have been waiting for.

Technical Support

Running a radio station  as varied and Sine FM is a complicated task. Have you ever wondered how podcasts work or what equipment is needed to run the station 24/7?  We have technical people who focus on this on a daily basis. If you are you are a budding techy, this is definitely for you.

If you aged 14 and above, willing to spend a few hours a week with us, and interested in any of the above, then all you need to do is contact us...
