TATOO JAM

HUNDREDS of the world’s foremost tattoo artists and thousands of fans are set to descend on Doncaster.
Tattoo Jam, the UK’s biggest tattoo convention, has announced its line-up of more than 300 of the planet’s best skin art specialists including Paul Booth, Brandon Bond and Louis Molloy, the man behind David Beckham’s tattoos.
Tattoo Jam begins with a trade day for artists, followed by the Tattoo Master’s Ball and Tattoo Jam Awards ceremony in the evening.
The following two days are open to the public who can consult with and be tattooed by the best of the best in one of the tattoo booths specially set up for the event. There is also a battle of the bands competition, with 30 bands playing live on the soundstage which this year will be built outside, adjacent to the racecourse grandstand, so guests can enjoy great music.
There will also be a diversity of vendors and traders at the event, selling everything from shoes and belts to jewellery and clothing.
NEIGHBOURHOOD ALLIANCE CELEBRATION & COMMUNITY FUN DAY

CUSWORTH MUSIC FESTIVAL

Seventies Glam Rockers The Sweet will take centre stage for this brand new Charity Music Festival, with an outdoor stage hosting bands playing an eclectic mix of blues/rock/indie/pop material.
Other bands performing at the music extravaganza are Ed Blaney’s “Ultimate Bowie”, Doncaster’s stars The Wallbirds, classic rock cover band Whizzkid, ABBA tribute act Twice as Nice and many more acts due be announced soon.
The day is being supported by Sine FM 102.6 with tickets available online through www.themusicweek.co.uk at just £10 each with all proceeds going to Doncaster’s local cancer charity – The Aurora Centre. So, if you don’t relish the prospect of Leeds or V Festival ticket prices or travelling the length and breadth of the country, then why not chill in your own town with some amazing views, sounds and a fun packed day out with family and friends.
THE KEVIN PARKHOUSE NORTON PARISH FESTIVAL

Ryecroft Road Field between Norton & Campsall
An annual ‘family fun day’ organised by the Kevin Parkhouse Memorial Sports Fund together with Norton Parish Council.
This year the organisers wish to establish the festival as a community event and involve the Parish and Borough Councils more heavily as well as other groups that will enhance the day. The bank holiday event will be opened by Britain’s Got Talent Finalists ‘ 2 Grand’.
The main focus of the day itself will be based around a number of events - particularly children's activities such as sack races, egg & spoon & tug-O-war as well as a number of inflatables and slides. A number of entertainers will be in attendence encouraging participation and attempting stilt walking, juggling etc.
In short, this is an event aimed at getting people out of the house, participating in some activities and generally having a good time!
